Lead Counsel, AI Privacy - $167,000/year to $233,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

- Serve as a company expert on global privacy and AI-related laws and regulations
- Intake, assess, and help execute plans for complying with new AI laws
- Help respond to regulatory inquiries and investigations related to AI
- Provide legal advice and day-to-day support to internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with Meta's product and business teams to identify and address privacy risks
- Stay up-to-date on emerging laws and compliance obligations related to artificial intelligence
- Work on exciting, cutting-edge AI-powered products

Requirements:

- . degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar
- 5+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience with internet or technology companies
- Strong understanding of core privacy principles and online technologies
- Experience with AI technologies and global privacy and AI-related laws, regulations, and industry guidelines
- Business judgment and client counseling experience

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience working proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate in a multi-stakeholder environment and drive high-impact projects
- Strong project management skills
- Initiative in driving solutions cross-functionally
- Experience working on AI-powered products
