A law firm in Houston is seeking a Junior Energy Transactional Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of experience in energy and infrastructure transactions. The Associate Attorney will utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills to handle financing and private M&A transactions. Preferred experience includes project and energy financing, energy-related M&A transactions, and tax equity or IRA credit experience.

 

Duties:

  • Handle financing and private M&A transactions
  • Assist with project and energy financing transactions
  • Participate in energy and infrastructure-related M&A transactions
  • Manage tax equity and/or IRA credit matters
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Conduct legal research and analysis as needed
  • Draft and review legal documents and contracts
  • Provide support on various transactional matters
  • Assist with due diligence processes
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Texas Bar, active and in good standing
  • 2-3 years of experience with energy and infrastructure transactions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with financing and private M&A transactions
  • Preferred experience with project and energy financing, energy-related M&A transactions, and tax equity or IRA credit matters
