Duties:

  • Litigate bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors’ rights matters in state and federal courts.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code, local rules, UCC, and secured transactions.
  • Handle motions practice, contested matters, and adversary proceedings.
  • Conduct or assist in preparing depositions.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Engage in business development activities.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in bankruptcy litigation.
  • Strong understanding of bankruptcy law and procedures.
  • Proven experience in motion practice and contested matters.
  • Quick thinking and adept at performing under pressure.
  • Experience with depositions.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Highly motivated and self-starting.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Outstanding law school credentials and references.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Indiana Bar (or eligibility for admission).
