Are you a senior tax professional looking to specialize in Financial Services and Insurance? Deloitte's Business Tax Services Insurance practice is looking for a Tax Senior to join their team. As an Insurance Tax Consultant, you will be a valuable member on tax engagements, providing tax advisory services to clients in the insurance industry across business functions such as underwriting, claims, IT, finance and accounting.

##Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related fields
- 3+ years’ experience working with private or public corporations
- Demonstrated abilities to problem solve and lead
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Excellent research and writing skills
- One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
- Licensed Attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average

##Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM
- Experience in the life insurance, property insurance or casualties' industry
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience
- Previous experience with corporate tax preparation, tax compliance, or tax controversy

##What You'll Do

As an Insurance Tax Consultant, you will:

- Provide tax advisory services to clients in the insurance industry across business functions such as underwriting, claims, IT, finance and accounting
- Coordinate with the client’s tax and finance departments to gather data for tax return preparation
- Assist with strategic tax planning including researching federal tax law and drafting technical memos
- Assist with IRS audit defense

At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $63,420 to $144,300. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
