A law firm is seeking a Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney in Reno. The Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney will work with clients in the clean energy industry on various projects across the United States. The candidate should have experience in renewable energy and be familiar with power purchase agreements, purchase and sale agreements, hedge contacts, equipment supply contracts, construction contracts, or similar agreements. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Work with clients on renewable energy projects
  • Review and draft power purchase agreements, purchase and sale agreements, hedge contacts, equipment supply contracts, and construction contracts
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on project development and finance matters
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for renewable energy projects
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project success
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines

 

Requirements:

  • 2-7 years of law firm experience in project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial contracts
  • Experience working in the renewable energy industry preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

 

Education and Certifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

 

Skills:

  • Experience with renewable energy project development and finance
  • Familiarity with power purchase agreements and other relevant contracts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
