Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

- Identify eligible federal C&I generating activities and manage the analysis and documentation of such opportunities.
- Work with a team of experienced and passionate professionals in a growing area.
- Proactively collaborate with colleagues across all member firms - Tax, Advisory, Consulting, and Audit and Assurance.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables.
- Monitor current and proposed tax legislation and regulations related to federal credits & incentives.
- Implement client outreach strategies.

The Team:

- National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) is a national practice within Deloitte Tax LLP that offers several tax service offerings.
- The Gi3 tax team is a national team of specialists dedicated to providing comprehensive tax credit and incentive services.
- These services include the Research and Development credit, the New Market Tax Credit, Qualified Opportunity Zones, Renewable Energy tax credits, and other federal credits.
- The team works with activities conducted in the United States, as well as research performed in over 30 other countries that offer research incentives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years' experience in a related field.
- Proven knowledge of R&D tax incentives or experience with New Markets Tax Credits, Qualified Opportunity Zones, or Renewable Energy tax credits.
- Strong analytical and research skills, as well as effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and proactively develop internal and external working relationships.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Relevant accreditations such as CPA, licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, PMP, CFA, or Professional Engineer are preferred.
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM is a plus.
- Experience with tax technical research (., CCH, Hein, Lexis, RIA, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with Federal or State and Local C&I is a plus.
- Experience with sustainability technologies or environmental sciences is a plus.
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA or law firm experience is a plus.

Salary Information:

- The wage range for this role is $66,570 to $151,580, taking into account various factors such as skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
- The range estimate has not been adjusted for geographic location.
- Compensation decisions are dependent on individual circumstances and are not typically hired at or near the top of the range.
