Job Summary:

Crowe LLP is currently seeking a Financial Institutions Tax Manager with experience in corporate taxation and ASC 740 for their Financial Institutions Tax Services team. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of clients in the banking, fintech, and digital currency space, as well as collaborate on large projects and implement tax planning strategies. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in public accounting or a corporate/public blend, as well as strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review corporate income tax provisions under ASC 740
- Review and/or prepare corporate tax returns
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance and consultation to clients
- Identify and implement tax planning and tax savings strategies
- Manage and foster existing client tax relationships
- Mentor and develop interns, staff, and senior staff
- Manage multiple engagements at once

Qualifications:

- Previous experience with corporation taxation required
- ASC 740 experience is a plus
- Previous banking experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Active CPA license or EA + Masters in Taxation or JD/LLM required
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend
- Ability to build strong client relationships
- Hybrid work environment; open to remote work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent project management and time management skills
- Tax research skills
