Job Overview:
- Serve as a key member of the legal team, specializing in patent law.
- Work closely with clients to protect their intellectual property rights through patent applications, prosecution, and litigation.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough patent searches and analyses to determine patentability and infringement issues.
- Draft and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- Provide legal counsel and advice on patent-related matters to clients.
- Conduct patent litigation and enforcement actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and other professionals to understand and protect their innovations.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar in Ohio.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or chemical engineering.
- 7-10 years of experience practicing patent law.
- Strong understanding of patent laws, regulations, and procedures.
Certifications:
- Patent Bar admission preferred.
