Position Summary

Deloitte is looking for a Tax Senior Manager to join their Private Wealth Tax practice. This role requires a leader and strategic thinker with extensive knowledge across multiple areas of taxation. The Senior Manager will be responsible for delivering compliance and consulting services to individual clients and their trusts, estates, family offices, investment vehicles, and closely-held businesses. What You'll Do

As a Tax Senior Manager, you will perform high-level reviews of tax research and work papers for individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift tax returns. You will also lead client meetings on compliance and consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities and the tax implications of transactions. Additionally, you will train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors, take on lead client-contact roles, and be involved in marketplace eminence building and pursuits.

Deloitte's Private Wealth team specializes in the needs of the ultra-affluent, including families with multigenerational wealth, entrepreneurs, family offices, and closely-held business owners. They provide comprehensive, independent, and objective wealth transfer planning advice to help clients make more informed, strategic decisions relevant to their personal financial comfort, business and investment needs, family legacy, and charitable giving.

Qualifications

Required

• Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
• 8+ years of public accounting experience (at least 3 years in investment management) or equivalent in law firms or industry
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
• One of the following accreditations obtained:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
- If not CPA eligible:
- Licensed attorney
- Enrolled Agent
• Certifications:
- Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
• Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents
• Experience managing projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing
• Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred

• Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM
• Prior Big 4 experience
• Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent research and writing skills

Salary Information

The wage range for this role takes into account various factors, including skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for geographic location, and Deloitte typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $119,490 to $238,680.

Deloitte also offers a discretionary annual incentive program, based on individual and organizational performance.
