In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all legal, regulatory, compliance, and policy matters globally, providing counsel to the Managing Director and their leadership team. To be successful in this role, you must have a . degree and active membership in at least one . state bar, as well as 10+ years of experience as a corporate counsel. You should also have experience managing legal risk across multiple jurisdictions and a broad legal knowledge in the tech, wellness, or health space. Additionally, you should have excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, as well as the ability to operate effectively in a rapidly changing environment and manage risk. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee all legal, regulatory, compliance, and policy matters globally for Kohler Ventures - Provide counsel to the Managing Director and their leadership team, Board of Directors, CEO, and other senior management - Partner cross-functionally with teams to assess potential legal and regulatory requirements for products, technologies, and services - Build and lead a high-performing team focused on health regulatory affairs, compliance, and regulatory quality - Review and draft a variety of agreements in areas such as business operations and clinical studies - Provide business-oriented solutions to support the company's strategy and mitigate risk - Manage outside counsel and professional services firms, especially in the areas of clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and global trade and compliance Requirements: - . degree and active membership in at least one . state bar - 10+ years of experience as a corporate counsel, either in-house or at a top-tier law firm - Experience managing legal risk across multiple jurisdictions - Broad legal knowledge in the tech, wellness, or health space - Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills - Ability to operate effectively in a rapidly changing environment and manage risk - Global experience supporting product development and/or go-to-market strategies - Previous experience with startups or working in a start-up environment preferred Salary Information: - The approved base salary range for this position is $176,500 - $226,950 - Actual base salary offered may be higher based on candidate's experience, education, and work location - Position is subject to a 30% Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) in the San Francisco Bay area - Approved base salary range including ASD is $229,450 - $295,035 depending on location - Eligible for performance bonus and special project incentive - Available benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401k Why Work at Kohler Co.?
