A law firm is seeking a Family Law Attorney II with the following responsibilities, qualifications, and benefits:

Job Overview:

The Family Law Attorney II will represent clients in family law matters, conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide sound legal advice. The role requires strong communication skills, trial experience, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Duties:

  • Mediation experience
  • Trial experience
  • Researching and analyzing complex legal issues
  • Drafting memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents
  • Marketing services to prospective clients
  • Conducting discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information
  • Managing schedules to meet production objectives
  • Ensuring timely approval of invoices
  • Utilizing support staff efficiently
  • Updating case management system with relevant information
  • Actively engaging in brand expansion through various channels
  • Communicating and advising clients
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the Bar in MI
  • 4-6 years of experience as a Family Law Attorney
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent legal research skills

Skills:

  • Professional attitude with a strong sense of discretion
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously
