Job Overview:

The Entry-level Associate Attorney will contribute to the firm's mission by training and developing IRS tax defense experts. The attorney will collaborate with internal teams, communicate regularly with clients, and attend administrative hearings and court proceedings to present clients' cases persuasively.

Duties:

  • Help train and develop the next generation of IRS tax defense experts.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, appeals, audits, and disputes with tax authorities.
  • Analyze complex tax issues and financial records to assess liabilities and recommend effective strategies.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including appeals, petitions, and settlement agreements.
  • Stay updated on evolving tax laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Advise clients on the potential consequences of various tax resolution options.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external professionals to devise comprehensive solutions.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, answer questions, and offer legal counsel.
  • Attend administrative hearings and court proceedings to present clients' cases persuasively.
  • Assist clients in navigating tax compliance, penalty abatement, and negotiation of installment plans.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM) degree from an accredited law school.

Skills:
