Job Summary:

Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is seeking an experienced insurance coverage litigation attorney to join our team through our contract attorney program, DWTSurge. This full-time contract position will allow for remote work and support West Coast hours. Attorneys with 5+ years of insurance coverage experience are encouraged to apply. Compensation will be based on experience and skill level.

Job Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in insurance coverage litigation in a law firm or in-house setting.

Active bar admission in Washington and/or California is preferred.

Strong legal research skills and experience analyzing coverage issues based on state and federal law.

Familiarity with high-impact complex litigation and providing legal coverage advice for commercial policies.

Skilled in drafting motions and pleadings.

Availability to work full-time hours on an ongoing basis.

Ability to work remotely and support West Coast hours.

Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities:

Reviewing policies and providing coverage opinions.

Preparing pleadings and drafting motions.

Analyzing coverage issues based on state and federal law.

Supporting high-impact complex litigation.

Attending in-office meetings as needed.

Producing high-quality work product with minimal supervision.

Building a long-term working relationship with the firm.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly compensation rate of $90 to $120, with potential for renewal.

Eligibility for health insurance, vision care, 401(k), and paid sick leave.
