Job Overview: A law firm in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience in drafting and arguing substantive motions, conducting/defending depositions, and settlement negotiation. Trial experience is highly desirable.

Duties:

• Drafting substantive motions for court filings.
• Conducting and defending depositions.
• Participating in settlement negotiations.
• Assisted in trial preparation and potentially participated in trials.
• Conducting legal research on various issues pertinent to cases.
• Providing legal analysis and advice to clients and colleagues.
• Managing case files and deadlines effectively.
• Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and the court as necessary.
• Collaborating with other attorneys and staff members on case strategy and development.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation strategy.
• Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Trial experience is a plus.
