Duties:

  • Handle a diverse portfolio of real estate transactions, including sales and acquisitions, financing, leasing, and land use and development.
  • Conduct thorough review and analysis of title documents, surveys, contracts, and other relevant legal documents.
  • Draft and negotiate various agreements and contracts related to real estate transactions.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on real estate matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with partners, associates, and other legal professionals to achieve client objectives.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality of work.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 4-6 years of experience practicing real estate law, preferably in a reputable law firm setting.
  • Strong understanding of real estate transactions, including sales, acquisitions, financing, leasing, and land use.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and exceeding client expectations.

Certifications:
