Job Title: - Tax Senior - Investment Management - Private Equity Tax Salary Information: - The disclosed range estimate for this role is $63,420 to $126,620. - Eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance. Department: - Deloitte Tax LLP, a subsidiary of Deloitte LLP. Location: - Central Region Office Locations (29 locations available). Position Summary: - Seeking a Tax Senior with experience in partnership taxation, leading and mentoring teams, and providing tax advisory services to investment management clients. - Opportunity to develop and thrive in the most strategic part of the tax practice and serve the largest clients. - Recruiting for this role ends on June 1, 2025. Responsibilities: - Performing detail-level reviews of tax research, partnership work papers, allocations, and tax filings. - Coordinating and communicating with client contacts to gather information for tax returns. - Training, mentoring, and supervising new and experienced-level tax staff. - Preparing and leading client meetings on compliance and advisory projects related to tax planning opportunities. The Team: - Global leader in providing professional services to the Investment Management industry. - Comprised of over 1,400 partners, principals, and employees providing tax services to a broad range of Investment Management companies. - Provides a spectrum of tax services to a range of clients including hedge funds, private equity, investment partnerships, and more. Qualifications: Required: - 3+ years’ experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns. - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field. - One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or must be willing and able to obtain: Licensed CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP). - Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model and ability to travel up to 25%. Preferred: - Previous Big 4 experience or large CPA firm experience. - 2+ years’ experience with investment management or partnership taxation. - Experience with Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and the tax compliance process for investment partnerships. - Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting. - Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment. - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
