Tax Manager - Financial Services-Insurance Tax (East Region City Locations)

- Salary range: $84,980 - $193,440 (based on experience and qualifications)

Position Summary

- Strategic and creative tax manager with experience in federal tax issues
- Specializing in accounting for income taxes, tax restructuring, and tax controversy
- Providing federal tax compliance and consulting services to clients in the insurance and financial services industries

Work You’ll Do

As a Tax Manager in the Business Tax Services Insurance group, your responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining and developing client relationships in the insurance industry
- Overseeing complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects
- Managing engagement team resources and billing
- Consulting with other service lines to address tax issues
- Staying informed of trends and developments in the insurance industry
- Delivering professional and timely services to clients

The Team

- Collaborative tax consultants providing a full-range of tax services
- Utilizing specialized knowledge and experience to help clients navigate complex tax and financial reporting issues
- Offering insights to enhance business efficiencies

Qualifications

Required:

- Ability to perform job responsibilities in a hybrid work model
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- 5+ years’ experience in federal taxation
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Experience managing and developing client relationships and engagement teams
- Proficient in tax code and regulations
- Technologically inclined and able to articulate complex tax issues

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM
- Previous experience in Big 4 or large CPA firms
- Proficiency with SSAP 101 and experience in the insurance industry
