Salary Information: The wage range for this role is $84,980 to $169,650, with the potential to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.

Job Title: Tax Manager - Investment Management - Private Equity Tax (Central Region Office Locations)

Experience Information: 5+ years of experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns, with 3+ years of experience in investment management or partnership taxation.

Position Summary:

- Exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager to join a growing team in the largest growth area of the tax industry.
- Seeking a leader with experience in partnership taxation, team management, and providing tax and business advice to serve our largest clients.
- This role will involve a hybrid work model, with 2-3 days of in-person co-location required per week.
- Recruiting for this role ends on June 1, 2024.

Responsibilities:

- Conducting high-level reviews of tax research, partnership work papers, allocations, and tax filings.
- Leading and preparing client meetings on compliance and advisory projects, including tax planning opportunities and the tax implications of transactions.
- Mentoring and supervising Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors.
- Taking on lead client-contact roles.
- Billing and profitability analysis on engagements.
- Involvement in marketplace eminence building and pursuits.

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work within a hybrid model with in-person co-location 2-3 days per week.
- 5+ years of experience in tax planning or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns.
- 3+ years of experience in investment management or partnership taxation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- One of the following accreditations: CPA, Attorney, Enrolled Agent, CFA, or CFP.
- Ability to travel up to 25% for work.

Preferred:

- Previous experience at a Big 4 firm or large CPA firm.
- Experience managing projects, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing.
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting.
- Experience in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
