A law firm seeks a skilled Litigation Attorney for their Killeen location. The attorney will be responsible for meeting with clients, motion work, discovery, depositions, and mediations. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA), State Bar certification in Texas, and preferably Board of Legal Specialization Certification. Strong proficiency in MS Office and Outlook, stellar client interface skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional organizational and project management skills, and bilingual capabilities are highly desirable.

 

Duties:

  • Meet with clients to discuss legal matters
  • Handle motion work, including drafting and arguing motions
  • Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests
  • Conduct depositions of parties and witnesses
  • Represent clients in mediations
  • Perform other litigation-related tasks as required

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • State Bar certification in Texas
  • Board of Legal Specialization Certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in personal injury litigation
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
  • Stellar client interface skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Bilingual proficiency preferred

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA)

 

Certifications:

  • State Bar certification in Texas
  • Board of Legal Specialization Certification preferred
