Duties:

  • Conduct patent prosecution activities, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications and managing patent portfolios.
  • Provide technical and legal analysis for patent matters related to video processing, video codecs, virtual/augmented reality, and AI.
  • Collaborate with inventors, clients, and colleagues to develop and implement patent strategies.
  • Conduct patent analysis/opinions of counsel and participate in Inter Partes Reviews (IPRs) as needed.
  • Manage time and deadlines effectively for multiple ongoing projects.
  • Work independently and as a team to meet firm and client objectives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and handle situations with discretion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • 2+ years of prosecution experience at a firm or in-house, with portfolio management experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in video processing and video codecs.
  • Familiarity with video coding standards.
  • Experience in virtual/augmented reality and AI is a plus.
  • Graduate-level experience or an advanced technical degree is a plus.
  • Admission to the USPTO is a plus.
