# Assistant Attorney General - Estate Tax Litigation

The **Office of the Illinois Attorney General** is looking for an experienced and qualified individual to fill the position of **Assistant Attorney General - Estate Tax Litigation** in its **Revenue Litigation Bureau**. This position is responsible for recovering debts owed to state agencies and administering the Illinois Estate and Generation Skipping Transfer Tax.

## Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role must be a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois and possess at least two years of experience in estate planning. Other desirable qualifications include:

- Sound judgment
- Commitment to public service
- Interest in tax audits and litigation work
- Litigation experience (including motion and discovery practice)
- Advanced tax degree (. . in Taxation) or CPA

## Salary

The salary for this position starts at $78,048 for candidates with a minimum of two years of experience as a licensed attorney.
