Duties:

  • Manage construction contracts of various types, including EPC, EPCM, BOP, equipment supply, and operation and maintenance contracts.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to construction projects.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on construction-related matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Collaborate with partners, clients, and team members on project-related tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in construction projects.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and other legal proceedings related to construction projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience working on construction contracts.
  • Experience managing a team or working closely with a partner/supervising junior associates.
  • Strong drafting skills and contract analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize new information.
  • Interest in the energy industry and clients’ businesses.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
