A law firm is seeking a Mid-Senior Energy Transactional Associate Attorney for its New York City office. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of experience in Energy and Infrastructure transactions, with a strong background in financing and/or private M&A transactions. Key responsibilities include:

Job Overview:

  • Provide legal counsel and support in Energy and Infrastructure transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients, partners, and internal teams to facilitate successful deals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate transactional documents, including contracts, agreements, and financing arrangements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to Energy and Infrastructure laws and regulations.
  • Advise clients on transaction structures, risks, and potential outcomes.
  • Manage due diligence processes and review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the resolution of legal disputes and issues arising during transactions.

Requirements:

  • 5-6 years of experience in Energy and Infrastructure transactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in financing and/or private M&A transactions.
  • Preferred experience in project and energy financing and/or energy and infrastructure-related M&A transactions.
  • Knowledge of tax equity and/or IRA credit is desirable.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York, District of Columbia Bar, or Texas Bar, active and in good standing.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York, District of Columbia Bar, or Texas Bar, active and in good standing.
