Responsibilities:
- Lead negotiations of contracts with customers in the United States who use Flexport's freight, customs, and trade finance products
- Support customer contract negotiations in other regions as needed
- Advise sales teams on deal structure and negotiations
- Negotiate commercial contracts for Flexport's trade finance offering
- Collaborate with various teams across the company to close deals
- Serve as the main point of contact for new and updated agreements with customers
- Support negotiation of contracts with vendors as needed
- Help improve and streamline the customer contract intake process
- Provide counsel and guidance to support Flexport's overall business objectives

Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree and bar admission in any US state
- 5+ years of experience, preferably in-house
- Experience negotiating ocean freight contracts is a plus
- Familiarity with logistics, transportation, and applicable liability standards is a plus
- Strong understanding of commercial contract law
- Willingness to learn and expand knowledge in logistics and related industries
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
