Job Overview: A law firm in Austin, TX is seeking a skilled Criminal Defense Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels. They should possess strong interpersonal skills, be fluent in English and Spanish, and be capable of managing a diverse workload while providing excellent legal representation to clients.

Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights in criminal matters and prepare legal documents related to their case
• Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide strategic advice following each hearing
• Manage court appearances, and trials, draft motions, and conduct legal research
• Analyze probable case outcomes based on legal precedents
• Manage the workload of cases effectively and efficiently
• Provide legal analysis to clients to determine potential case benefits
• Gather additional evidence to support clients' cases or counter-prosecution charges
• Prepare clients for depositions and gather information from witnesses and experts to support case strategy

Requirements:

• Experience handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels
• Fluent in both English and Spanish
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with fellow associates
• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the State Bar of Texas

Certifications:

• State Bar of Texas license
