A law firm in White Plains, NY, is seeking an accomplished OSHA Of Counsel to provide expert guidance on workplace safety and health compliance requirements. The successful candidate will support, collaborate, and guide clients and business partners on OSHA (federal and state) regulations, manage Labor and Employment (L&E) matters, and oversee global EH&S issues. This role involves developing relationships with regulatory agencies, handling all aspects of litigation related to workplace safety and discrimination matters per OSHA regulations, and providing crisis management to clients dealing with workplace safety and health matters.
Duties:
- Support, collaborate, and guide clients on workplace safety and health compliance requirements for OSHA regulations.
- Manage support on other L&E matters as needed.
- Collaborate with business partners on environmental and workplace safety and health compliance requirements.
- Manage outside counsel and vendors on global EH&S issues, creating programmatic opportunities to address risk through training, policies, and processes.
- Develop relationships with regulatory agencies, defend practices within appropriate boundaries, and work to influence policy development.
- Handle all aspects of litigation relating to matters regarding workplace safety and discrimination per OSHA regulations.
- Represent clients in informal conferences, settlement negotiations, and defensive litigation of citations.
- Provide crisis management to clients dealing with workplace safety and health matters.
Requirements:
- . from an ABA-accredited law school, with exceptional academic credentials.
- 8+ years of employment litigation experience preferred.
- OSHA experience is required.
- Exceptional candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
- Class action or public sector experience is a plus.
- NY Bar admission with active status is required.
- Must have supervisory experience.
- First and/or second chair trial experience.
