Job Overview:

The Pre-Suit Personal Injury Attorney will be responsible for gathering essential documents, evidence, and information related to claims, negotiating settlement offers, and collaborating with the legal team to prepare demand letters. The role involves managing and negotiating cases with insurance providers, overseeing a full caseload, and supervising a dedicated legal assistant. Excellent communication with clients, meticulous case investigation, and adherence to ethical standards are key aspects of this position.

Duties:

  • Gather necessary documents, evidence, and relevant information for claims.
  • Negotiate settlement offers and collaborate with the legal team on-demand letters.
  • Manage and negotiate cases with insurance providers.
  • Effectively handle a full case load, ensuring timely progress.
  • Oversee and manage a dedicated full-time legal assistant.
  • Prioritize regular communication with clients.
  • Open new files, initiate client contact, and maintain ongoing communication.
  • Fully investigate each case, analyze intake information, and enter data into the ATO database.
  • Verify insurance coverage and liability issues, maintaining contact with insurance companies.
  • Manage client's medical care, communicating with clients and medical providers.
  • Schedule and calendar medical appointments, explain procedures and provide relevant documentation.
  • Continuously monitor case status and review medical records.
  • Organize and maintain case files, preparing them for submission to demand writers.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience managing a heavy Personal Injury caseload.
  • Active membership in the Florida Bar Association in good standing.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact empathetically with clients during their time of need.
  • Determination and drive to achieve the best results for clients and win cases.
  • Passion and pride in approaching all tasks.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Consistent record of attendance, reliability, and integrity.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Active membership in the Florida Bar Association.
