A law firm is seeking a qualified Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Houston. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and must be admitted to practice in Texas. The Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney will play a crucial role in handling various aspects of litigation for complex commercial matters in both state and federal courts. The candidate will be responsible for drafting pleadings and motions, counseling clients, working with expert witnesses and opposing counsel, taking and defending depositions, appearing in court, and providing supervision and mentorship to junior associates. Additionally, participation in firm activities and training and development opportunities is expected.

Job Details:

• Assist with all aspects of litigation for complex commercial matters.
• Draft pleadings and motions and take the lead in legal proceedings.
• Counsel clients on legal matters related to commercial litigation.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses and opposing counsel.
• Take and defend depositions effectively.
• Appear in court to represent clients in commercial litigation cases.

Requirements:

• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess strong academic credentials.
• Must be admitted to practice in Texas.

Experience:

3-5 years of complex commercial litigation experience
