Job Title: Tax Manager - National Federal Tax Services - Partnership Solutions Group (PSG)
Experience: 5+ years in federal partnership tax
Salary: Range of $103,320 to $235,170, plus potential discretionary annual incentive program

Position Summary:

- Seeking experienced tax specialist with a passion for cutting-edge tax technology and a strong understanding of . federal income tax models and computations.
- Manager role in the Partnership Solutions Group, Operational Partnership Services team.
- Refines skillset by working with large-scaled operating partnership tax clients in various industries.
- Delivers value to clients experiencing public offerings and interacts with external counsel, underwriters, client executives, and capital market professionals.
- Assists clients with public offering transactions and works with Up-C clients on an ongoing basis.
- Develops an understanding of the public monetization transactional process and creates technology centered around . federal income tax principles.
- Leads engagement teams and mentors and develops engagement staff.
- Implements strategic tax structures and processes and oversees complex tax computation projects.
- Participates in marketplace activities, recruiting, and process and technology innovation.
- Identifies service opportunities, manages client accounts, and advances various Deloitte initiatives.

The Team:

- National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) is a national practice within Deloitte Tax LLP.
- NFTS service offerings are developed and built as a result of tax planning ideas, marketplace drivers, or technological innovations.
- NFTS service lines provide tax planning for the largest organizations across all industries.
- The Operational Partnership Services (OPS) service line, a part of the Partnership Solutions Group within NFTS, counsels partnerships on federal tax and issues involving Up-C, mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, and more.
- Industries served include private equity, real estate, telecom, technology, healthcare, media & entertainment, energy, retail, and financial services.
- Entrepreneurial and work-hard/play-hard mentality.

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, requiring co-location in person 2-3 days per week.
- 5+ years of experience in federal partnership tax.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or other business-related field.
- Strong numerical-problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership skills, organizational skills, and ability to plan and manage budgets and workplans.
- Self-starter with the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
- Experience with . federal income tax partnerships.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- One of the following accreditations: licensed CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, CFP.

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as MST, JD, or LLM.
- Previous experience with a Big 4 or large CPA firm.
- Aptitude in MS Project, Word, Excel, and Visio.
- Transaction and M&A experience.
- Alteryx experience.
