Corporate Counsel - Data Privacy: This is a full-time position located in Naperville, IL that is eligible for ALDI's Hybrid Work Program. As a member of the Legal team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing ALDI's data protection strategy, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of data privacy, providing assurance to customers, vendors, and stakeholders that their information is safe.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide input to direct leader on personnel hiring and identify legal issues for responsive action.
- Engage with internal and external parties, suppliers, and counsel regarding relevant areas of expertise.
- Evaluate and analyze legal issues, report findings and recommendations to direct leader.
- Advise on changes to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Keep current on legal issues and communicate updates to the team.
- Perform pre-litigation work independently, minimizing risks and potential legal liability.
- Identify and analyze company procedures to ensure best practices.
- Prepare reports and analyze data to identify exposures and risks.
- Manage strategies for reducing costs and transferring risk.
- Draft legal documents and lead policies and strategic planning related to data privacy.
- Negotiate with key stakeholders and vendors while collaborating with cross-functional business teams.
- Communicate complex legal concepts to a broad range of clients.
- Support Corporate Counsels in providing accurate and timely advice on legal matters.
- Leverage legal expertise and business acumen to support company objectives.
- Train and develop team members.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to leadership.
- Uphold security and confidentiality of documents and data.

Physical Requirements:
- Work may be performed in an office or remote office setting.
