A law firm in Miami is seeking a Mid-Level Class Action Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will possess superior writing, research, and analytical skills, with a strong academic background from nationally recognized schools. Experience with class action defense, complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation is highly preferred. A previous federal clerkship is a plus.

 

Job Duties:

  • Represent clients in class action defense, complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
  • Meet deadlines and expectations while performing work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships within the firm and with external parties.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar or ability to waive in.
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Strong academic background from nationally recognized schools.
  • Experience with class action defense, complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation is highly preferred.
  • Previous federal clerkship experience is a plus.
