Job Overview:

The Insurance Defense Attorney will be responsible for providing legal representation to clients in insurance defense matters. This role will involve handling various aspects of civil litigation, including legal research, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, trials, and hearings. Duties:

  • Perform thorough legal research and analysis to support clients in insurance defense cases.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including document production and interrogatories.
  • Take and defend depositions of key witnesses and experts.
  • Draft and argue dispositive motions to advocate for clients' interests effectively.
  • Assist in mediation, arbitration, trials, and hearings, providing legal counsel and representation as required.
  • Manage caseload efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school.
  • 3-8 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on insurance defense.
  • Clerkship experience is a valuable asset.
  • Strong academic credentials, demonstrating a solid legal foundation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
