We are currently seeking a Director & Managing Trial Attorney to lead and direct attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in defense or coverage work. This role requires a JD with admission to the bar in either PA and/or NJ, and a minimum of 10 years of related litigation/trial experience. The ideal candidate will also have two years of leadership exposure.

Some of the responsibilities of this position include assigning cases to staff, overseeing the work of attorneys and paralegals, and providing trial coaching and assistance. The Director & Managing Trial Attorney will also stay up to date on legal trends and developments, communicate regularly with clients and claim professionals, and collaborate with other MTAs and Claim Leadership.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have significant trial experience and senior level knowledge of litigation management within an insurance organization. They should also possess strong management skills, the ability to effectively manage internal and external relationships, and superior communication and negotiation skills. A JD and admission to the bar in PA and/or NJ is required, and admission to both is preferred.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and direct attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in defense or coverage work
- Assign cases, monitor work, and coordinate with others as needed
- Provide trial coaching and assistance to attorneys
- Stay up to date on legal trends and developments

- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Counsel clients and management on legal questions or issues
- Ensure department staff is trained on appropriate procedures

Requirements:

- JD with admission to the bar in either PA and/or NJ (admission to both preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years related litigation/trial experience
