A law firm is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mid-Level Asset Securitization Associate Attorney to join its team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional work, corporate law, or finance law, a commitment to client service, and the ability to manage fast-paced transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent companies and financial institutions in various financing activities.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on structured finance transactions.
  • Advise clients on the acquisition or sale of portfolios of financial assets.
  • Represent parties in secured and unsecured credit facilities.
  • Draft and negotiate offering documents, transaction documents, and financing statements.
  • Understand and address commercial and securities law issues related to finance transactions.
  • Represent parties in financing transactions involving a broad range of asset classes.
  • Advise on debt and equity issues in capital markets transactions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in transactional work, corporate law, or finance law at a large or mid-size law firm, in-house law department, or governmental agency is required.
  • Experience in representing companies and financial institutions in financing activities.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Superior interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Excellent negotiating skills.
  • Understanding of business, industry, and market issues.
  • Commitment to client service.
  • Ability to handle fast-paced transactions and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Must be a member in good standing or eligible to waive into the appropriate state Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Membership in good standing with the state Bar or eligibility to waive into the state Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Superior analytical and writing abilities.
  • Excellent negotiating and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth understanding of commercial and securities law issues.
