Tax Manager - Real Estate Tax (Central Region Office Locations)

Summary:

- The position is for a Tax Manager in the Real Estate Services Tax practice at Deloitte.

Responsibilities:

- Assisting clients with life events for partnerships, inside and outside basis computations, and Schedule K-1 processing.
- Using proprietary technologies to streamline tax compliance processes for clients.
- Maintaining and developing strong client relationships in the real estate industry.
- Advising clients on tax issues such as REIT qualification, Tax Reform impact, business restructuring, and tax controversy.
- Overseeing complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects using state-of-the-art technology and data analytics.
- Managing engagement workflow, team resources, and billing.
- Mentoring and developing junior staff.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week.

Qualifications:

Required:

- 5+ years of corporate or international tax experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA, or licensed attorney, or Enrolled Agent.
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on work and clients served.

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
- Previous experience at Big 4 or large CPA firm.
- Experience with US clients and basic understanding of US tax.
- Demonstrated effective communication and research skills.
- Strong understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills.
- Demonstrated management experience.

Salary Range:

- The disclosed range estimate for this role is $84,980 to $169,650.
- The range takes into account various factors, including skill sets, experience, training, and other business and organizational needs.
- Compensation decisions are dependent on individual circumstances and are not typically at the top of the range for the role.
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program.
