The Red Hat Legal team is seeking a Privacy & AI Legal Counsel to join their team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will assist with the development, implementation, and management of compliance and risk mitigation strategies relating to privacy and AI laws and regulations. You will also oversee and mature policies and processes related to privacy, data governance, and AI compliance and provide support for contract negotiations and advising on privacy and AI issues. As a member of the Legal team and the Global Privacy Program, you will join a global team of best-in-class legal and privacy professionals to support Red Hat's growth strategy and governance around the globe. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with the development and implementation of compliance and risk mitigation strategies for privacy and AI laws and regulations - Oversee privacy, data governance, and AI compliance policies and processes - Provide support for contract negotiations and advising on privacy and AI issues - Develop relationships both within and outside of the organization to support the objectives of the Legal Compliance Team and Global Privacy Program - Stay up-to-date on privacy and AI laws and regulations and provide guidance on how to implement new laws and regulations Requirements: - Qualified to practice law and in good standing in at least one jurisdiction - 4+ years of legal experience in a technology company or advising technology clients on privacy, data governance, and AI compliance - Strong knowledge of privacy laws and regulations and experience implementing programs to meet such requirements - Excellent drafting skills and ability to analyze and advise on complex legal issues - Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to drive challenging projects forward - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of an organization - International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) certifications are a plus Salary Information: - The salary range for this position is $131,810 - $217,490 - Actual offer will be based on qualifications About Red Hat: - The world's leading provider of enterprise open source software solutions - Committed to collaboration, transparency, and integrity - Offers a flexible work environment with the opportunity to work fully remote or in-office - Encourages all associates to share their ideas and make an impact - Offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and more Join the Red Hat team as a Privacy & AI Legal Counsel and be a part of a diverse, inclusive, and innovative organization.
