Job Overview: A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking a Patent Agent with a minimum of 2 years of patent prosecution experience, particularly in areas such as 5G, Wi-Fi, artificial intelligence (AI), processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent academic credentials, and exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. An Electrical Engineering degree or its equivalent is highly desirable, and candidates must be registered with the United States Patent Trademark Office (USPTO) or eligible for registration.

Duties:

• Conduct patent prosecution activities in various technological areas including but not limited to 5G, Wi-Fi, AI, processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end.
• Collaborate with inventors and attorneys to draft patent applications and responses to office actions.
• Perform patentability searches and analyze prior art.
• Assist in patent portfolio management and strategy development.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their technological innovations and legal needs.
• Stay updated with changes in patent laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of patent prosecution experience.
• Experience in patent prosecution related to 5G, Wi-Fi, AI, processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end technologies.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Registered with the United States Patent Trademark Office (USPTO) or eligible for registration.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.

Certifications:
