Overview:

Allstate, a leader in the insurance industry for over 89 years, is seeking a highly experienced Employment Litigation Counsel to join their Legal Department's Global Litigation group. This is a remote, home-based position that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, while making a difference in the lives of customers and communities.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Manage complex litigation in all areas of employment, including class actions
• Provide legal advice and counsel to the business on emerging issues and risks
• Review cases and develop appropriate strategies
• Interview and retain law firms, participate in counsel selection
• Conduct due diligence and gather relevant facts and documents
• Perform bill and file reviews and oversee budgets
• Conduct complex legal research and make strategic recommendations
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements
• Collaborate with business colleagues to implement change
• Attend board and committee meetings as needed
• Lead project management initiatives for complex projects

Education and Experience:

• . from an accredited institution and active state bar license in good standing
• 7+ years of hands-on complex litigation experience, including trials and class actions
• Leadership experience with assignments and cross-functional projects
• Strong knowledge of specific legal disciplines and their connection to business objectives
• Experience utilizing technology and data analytics in daily tasks and decision-making
• Agile and adept at prioritizing assignments and meeting deadlines
• Strong client service orientation
