In this role, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for Maryland and Virginia Government Affairs, as well as providing legal advice and support to the Senior Vice President – General Counsel. Responsibilities and Duties:

- Review and evaluate proposed legislation and regulations related to medical liability, civil liability, insurance, healthcare, and business regulation.
- Testify before the Maryland General Assembly and prepare written testimony on key legislative issues.
- Act as a liaison between the company and government officials, and collaborate with trade groups and coalitions.
- Develop and deliver legal/legislative update presentations to insurance producers.
- Interpret, draft, and revise contracts and other transactional documents.
- Provide legal advice on corporate, insurance, healthcare, data privacy, and employment law matters.

Qualifications:

- JD from an accredited law school and admission to the Maryland Bar.
- 5-8 years of relevant legal experience.
