Job Overview: A law firm in Troy, MI, is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join their team. Duties:

  • Consult with clients to assess and advise on estate plans, including related tax and corporate matters.
  • Provide expertise in asset protection, business transfer, succession planning, probate, and estate administration.
  • Draft complete and amended estate planning documents using estate planning software. (Wealth Counsel knowledge is helpful but not required).
  • Conduct research and analysis related to estate planning and tax issues.
  • Prepare legal briefs, documents, and reports with a high standard of writing and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm to address client needs.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Michigan.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in estate planning and related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning, tax law, and corporate matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and independently.
  • Prior background, experience, and/or relationships within the financial community are a plus.

Certifications:

  • Active State Bar of Michigan membership and license.

Skills:
