Job Description:
ERM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Counsel for the . and Canada to join our Global Legal Department. The Regional Counsel will be responsible for negotiating, drafting, and reviewing a variety of contracts for ERM’s operations in the . and Canada. This is a senior level position that requires a high level of technical proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a global team. The Regional Counsel will report to the Regional Managing Counsel for the . and Canada and will work closely with other attorneys and Senior Contracts Analysts to ensure efficient and effective legal support for ERM’s operations.

Responsibilities:
• Negotiate, draft, and review various contract types, including master service agreements, subcontracts, and access agreements for ERM’s operations in the . and Canada
• Serve as the legal point of contact for executives and partners
• Work closely with Senior Contracts Analysts and other attorneys to ensure timely and effective reviews and approvals
• Provide training and legal advice on contract and risk management

Skills and Competencies:
• Bar Admission and full-time residence in a state where ERM has an office
• Experience negotiating contracts with larger corporate clients
• Ability to apply practical, legal, institutional, and commercial judgment to ambiguous situations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to balance independent judgment with collaborative teamwork
• Commitment to ethical and professional behavior
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Experience working with state and local government procurement departments
• Understanding of global data privacy and information security directives

Requirements:

• License to practice law in at least one . jurisdiction

• Experience providing legal advice in one or more additional areas such as corporate law, financial transactions, or environmental law
• Ability to work in a stationary position, operating a computer and telephone for extended periods of time
• Limited travel may be required (up to 15% of time)
