Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and guidance on business activities, operations, insurance claims, and litigation
- Partner with business leaders to develop strategies for growth and innovation while upholding ERIE's mission and principles
- Advise on privacy, data, digital, cybersecurity, and technology issues, including new technologies and areas of risk
- Review, negotiate, and draft commercial contracts and advise on contract interpretation and disputes
- Counsel on privacy and security incident preparedness, response, and management
- Train stakeholders on relevant legal topics and regulations, such as data protection laws and cybersecurity

Qualifications:
- . or . degree from accredited law school required
- Five years of law experience, preferably in corporate and/or insurance law
- Admitted to practice in at least one state, with eligibility for admission in Pennsylvania if not already admitted
- Strong understanding of privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations, with certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPM, or CISSP preferred
- Ability to travel on short notice and occasionally stay overnight
