The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in Medical Malpractice law and possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in Michigan and demonstrate proficiency in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, participating in settlement negotiations, and making court appearances as necessary.

 

Duties:

  • Assist with drafting legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda, pertaining to Medical Malpractice cases.
  • Administer depositions of witnesses and parties involved in the litigation process and summarize deposition testimony.
  • Issue interrogatories and review documents as part of the discovery process in Medical Malpractice cases.
  • Participate actively in settlement negotiations, advocating for clients' interests effectively.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on Medical Malpractice issues, statutes, and case law to support litigation strategies.
  • Make court appearances as necessary, representing clients' interests in hearings and other proceedings.
  • Communicate complex legal concepts and information to stakeholders with varying levels of expertise in an accessible manner.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop effective case strategies and solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation related to Medical Malpractice matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • License to practice law in Michigan.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Medical Malpractice law.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong persuasive writing skills.
