Job Overview:

The General Defense Litigation Associate Attorney will handle assigned caseloads independently and under supervision. They will draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and more. Experience with depositions, court appearances, and motion practice is essential. The candidate must excel in research, maintain client relationships, meet deadlines, and accurately record billable hours.

Duties:

• Handle assigned caseload independently and with supervision
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands, etc.
• Experience with depositions, court appearances, and motion practice
• Perform extensive legal research
• Maintain excellent client relationships and comply with client guidelines
• Ensure all deadlines are met
• Accurately record and maintain billable hours

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice in the State of New York (NJ, CT, and PA admission is a plus)
• Federal Court experience is advantageous
• 3+ years of experience in general defense litigation
• Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills
• Ability to exercise good judgment in various situations
• Strong and professional communication skills
• Friendly and outgoing demeanor

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar of New York (additional admissions in NJ, CT, or PA are beneficial)
