Montgomery office of our client seeks an immigration attorney with experience. The candidate performs quality legal work with very limited review from case initiation through completion. Conducts consultations and interviews with clients to explain case strategies based on the client?s own goals. Assesses client?s eligibility for relief from removal proceedings, chances of qualifying for visas, etc. Develops case strategy for individual client needs. Represents clients at hearings in Immigration Court, interviews with USCIS, and reporting appointments with ICE as needed. Drafts, reviews, and files appropriate court pleadings as well as any motions, petitions, briefs, and immigration applications. Manages large caseload to ensure that all clients are represented vigorously. Complies with all legal and ethical standards, maintaining good standing with all Bar Associations. Able to work outside normal office hours as needed according to caseload. Bilingual Spanish is required. Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school is essential. Must have admittance to practice law in the United States (Alabama Bar admission preferred).
