Duties:

  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, lien-related documents, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and litigation proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend client meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior attorneys.
  • Take fact and expert depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Analyze facts of the case and conflicts in legal matters, develop litigation strategy, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
  • Communicate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
  • Maintain client files to ensure up-to-date information is available to other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in business and construction litigation matters.
  • 5 years of strong, relevant, verifiable experience in a similar role.
  • Florida Bar Admission.
  • Judicial clerkship experience or demonstrate strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar.
