A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of meaningful experience in civil litigation. The attorney will work on a variety of substantive litigation matters, including complex litigation, corporate and partnership disputes, contract disputes, and intellectual property disputes. The ideal candidate should have experience in drafting pleadings/motions, responding to written discovery, managing document discovery, and possess superior legal writing skills. Experience with depositions, arguing motions, pre-trial preparation, trials, and arbitrations is a plus.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a diverse caseload of substantive litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Respond to written discovery requests and manage document discovery.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various litigation issues.
  • Assist with deposition preparation and participate in depositions.
  • Prepare for and participate in court hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and provide legal advice and counsel.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Assist with settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
  • 2-3 years of meaningful experience in civil litigation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in drafting pleadings, motions, and legal documents.
  • Experience with written discovery and document management.
  • Superior legal writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
