Job Overview:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in tax litigation proceedings before federal and state courts, including Tax Court.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on tax controversy matters, including civil and criminal tax issues, whistleblower claims, and voluntary offshore disclosures.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on tax laws, regulations, and precedent cases.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex tax cases and strategic legal matters.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and government agencies involved in tax disputes.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • LLM in Taxation is required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in tax litigation.
  • Active license to practice law in Florida.
  • Prior experience representing clients in tax court proceedings.
  • Familiarity with civil and criminal tax controversy matters.
  • Preferred experience with whistleblower claims and voluntary offshore disclosures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • LLM in Taxation is required.
