Job Title: - Tax Senior Consultant, Business Tax Services (Federal Tax) Experience Information: - 3+ years of experience in federal taxation, including preparation and review of federal tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals. - Previous experience working in a virtual and/or global environment is preferred. - Supervisory experience is preferred. What You'll Do: - As a Tax Senior Consultant within the Business Tax Services group, you will be a valuable member of tax engagement teams, providing a variety of tax services such as compliance, planning, controversy, and research. - Responsibilities include reviewing federal tax returns, coordinating with client's tax and finance departments, researching federal tax legislation, and assisting with tax consulting projects. - The role also involves managing engagement workflows, supervising tax consultants and interns, and traveling up to 25% as needed. The Team: - Deloitte Tax LLP's Business Tax Services team is a dynamic and diverse group of professionals who integrate tax strategy into clients' business operations. - The team provides services and solutions for public and private companies, including tax planning, compliance, controversy, risk management, and specialized services. - Business Tax subject matter experts and industry specialists work together to assist clients with global tax challenges and transform their tax departments for greater impact and efficiency. Qualifications: - Required qualifications include the ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, with co-location in person 2-3 days per week, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in federal taxation. - A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is also required, along with one of the following accreditations: CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, or CFP. - Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM, experience working in a virtual and/or global environment, and a passion for leveraging technology. - Other preferred qualifications include experience with ASC 740 and previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience.
