The candidate will join firm that specialize in representation of tribal governments, tribal enterprises, and Native organizations with an emphasis on litigation in tribal, state, and federal courts. Will be responsible for: Provide legal analysis and arrive at practical solutions for clients. Possess strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills. Conduct effective legal research and draft pertinent legal documents. Work effectively with case-related personnel including expert and lay witnesses, judges, opposing counsel and other professionals in the judicial system. Maintain all case files and materials. Must have Graduate of accredited law school and licensed to practice in Oklahoma and/or Washington, . is required. Exceptions will be made for individuals who are not licensed in these jurisdictions but who would be eligible to waive into either jurisdiction and would commit to doing so as a condition of employment with the firm. Should have exceptional writing skills and attention to detail. Must have strong verbal communication skills. Should have strong work ethic with very high standards for both quality and quantity of work. Should preferably have 3-5 years of litigation experience. Attorneys with less than three years of experience are welcome to apply if they can demonstrate significant experience and commitment to protecting and enhancing the sovereign rights of tribal governments and improving the lives of Native people.
